The union vision
SIPTU does not just fight for wages and conditions but promotes a wider vision of social justice.
Its banner has appeared on anti-war marches, May Day rallies and a variety of protests. Its founding members, James Connolly and Jim Larkin, were active socialists - of the genuine variety.
